BoardSource: BoardSource is a nonprofit organization that offers a wide range of resources to assist nonprofit organizations with Board development and governance. You can view their library of free community resources at boardsource.org.

CharityVillage: For Canadian charities, CharityVillage is a great resource. From their website: “CharityVillage’s online community focuses on careers, work life, and human resources issues in and around the social profit sector. We connect you to great work, ideas, opportunities, and each other.” Visit them at charityvillage.com for the latest news stories, tips, how-tos, and more.

Nonprofit Quarterly: The online version of Nonprofit Quarterly is “a source for information and dialogue about democratic activism and about the organizations and movements that are a part of that. NPQ collaborates deeply with you, our readers, both in setting our editorial agenda and in producing the dynamic mix of news, information, advice and opinion that characterize our work.” Their website is located at NonprofitQuarterly.org.

Piktochart: As you probably know, images get more interaction on social media then simple text posts. A great way to get attention on your page is to use infographics which use images, flowcharts, and more to convey important points of information to your audience. You can easily create your own infographic with Piktochart, an online tool that allows you to customize infographics to fit the look and message you want. There are several free themes available on their website, you just need to create an account to access them.

TechSoup: TechSoup connects nonprofit organizations and charities with technology products and solutions, and provides learning resources to help you make informed decisions about technology. Nonprofits can access donated and discounted products and services, including high-quality refurbished hardware, and software from partners like Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco, Intuit, and Symantec.
