How You Can Help
F.A.Q.

AMECO is an organization of  member agencies in the U.S. and Canada dedicated to serve the cause of missing and exploited children, their families and  the community at large.

AMECO certified agencies can help you in your search for a missing child. We can help you no matter what the reason your child is missing: if your child was taken by a family member, by a stranger, or if he or she ran away.

We will help you if it is an adult and not only a child who is missing in your family.

In some states, we can alert neighborhoods through thousands of phone calls when a child goes missing.

We will help you if your child is in the US or Canada, but we will also help if he or she has been taken to a different country.

We offer guidance and referral to searching families. Team Hope.

We offer peer support for the children who survive having been abducted as they become adults. Take Root.

We offer information and education to schools and to parents to prevent abduction.

We provide identification kits for your children.

We provide speakers for community events and we provide information at state fairs and other events.

AMECO agencies work to remove children from the commercial sex trade. We offer alternatives to living on the street for runaways.

AMECO agencies advocate for the protection of children's rights.

AMECO agencies are supported 100% by the community the serve.  AMECO Certified agencies' services are always provided free to the public.

AMECO agencies are independently managed. AMECO certified agencies are located in 15 states and 8 Canadian provinces Each agency offers different services geared toward the needs in their communities.  All can provide assistance and referrals continent-wide.

Please write to AMECO and find the link to the AMECO certified agency nearest your community if you need services and if you would like to learn more.
